  ROC Industrial Supply Inc.
Welcome

History behind ROC Industrial.

ROC Industrial Supply Inc. Is of the brain child of Matthew Chernenko. While it has started in 2014 it really goes back far longer than that.

In the early years of the 1980's, Matthew was always interested in how things worked, went and worked together.

1990's Matthew worked part time for his father George Chernenko sorting nuts and bolts for hydraulics. At this time George had started his own company Independent Hydraulics Service Inc. in 1985 in Conroe Texas. As Matthew got older and matured he worked at various places for his father and even Kroger's.

After moving back to Michigan and finishing high school, some college and a brief internship (almost went into trades), Matthew started working for a wholesale bearing company in Detroit. Here he was able to work from the ground and up the ladder of the warehouse learning and master various duties. He was able to learn and hone his craft in a short about of time. Self taught making shipping crates for taper and spherical bearings which shipped all over the world. Later working in the shipping department and shipping order out. Here is where he began to understand and walk in the customers step. "If I was the owner, how would I do things to make my customers appreciative". It did not take him long to before this attitude started to reflect on the company. Sales improved, more customers were placing orders.

Summer 2012 with almost 14 years with the company. Matthew and his father started talking about expanding his father's business Surplus Supply inc and bringing it to Michigan. Not long before they were able to do so, Mr. George passed away untimely. It forced Matthew to take care of his fathers estate and help Surplus Supply along.

In 2014 Matthew decided to finish what him and his father had talked about; just in a different manner. The father and son project became more. A long term reminder a if you will milestone . In his fathers style and ambition, Matthew did just what his father did. Start from scratch. Make it your own. Apply what you know. Focus and run with it. Matthew started ROC with what was left from his 401K and is running with it.

May this be a great testimony to you in all you do.
